Senna Al Makki (Senna Leaf)
Senna leaves are effective for treating constipation, loss of appetite, indigestion, liver complaints, abdominal issues, spleen enlargement, dyspepsia, typhoid, jaundice, anemia, malaria, skin diseases, leprosy, symptoms of poisoning, bad breath, body odor, lung diseases, bronchitis, and tumors.
According to Dr. Muhammad ‘Ali Al-Baar, senna is a gentle stool softener that acts directly on the colon. It is a safe and effective laxative with no known side effects. Its benefits include relieving depression, foot cracks, muscle tension, hair loss, lice, scabies, pustules, and itching. When boiled in olive oil and consumed, senna expels harmful substances, eases back and hip pain, eliminates black bile and phlegm, and strengthens the heart. It's also helpful for chronic headaches, epilepsy, and hemorrhoids, as well as constipation due to its softening effect on stools.
